these are additional notes the client wants to express about their needs.

pedicure

pedicure:  model will arrive with clean bare nails
arrive in normal model appearance standards. nails should receive normal at home pre-shoot care. if you choose to visit a salon for prep, it will not be able to be reimbursed.

pedicure: custom pedicure
plan a salon visit within 24 hours of the shoot start time to get the pedicure as described. a description + reference photo should be visible.

wardrobe

"models will arrive with standard wardrobe pieces"
arrive wearing one of the standard wardrobe outfits with the other one handy.

"custom wardrobe"
the client will be sending wardrobe pieces for the shoot. please arrive with skin color / neutral color undergarments and have both standard wardrobe options with you.

shaved legs

this section will indicate if the client expects a fresh shave or unshaved legs. 

if it asks for shaved legs, please ensure it is as fresh of a shave as possible (no stubble).

foot modeling has different standards than hand or full body modeling. below are the outlined expectations for foot models on every shoot.

STANDARD WARDROBE

standard wardrobe is the same for all hand, full body, and foot modeling bookings. please come dressed in full appearance standards to every modeling shoot and have all additional wardrobe options ready.

please have CLEAN shoes for all shoots!

even though you will only be modeling mid-thigh down, there is the possibility the client will want to upgrade to a full body model during the shoot.

always appearing in standard wardrobe also demonstrates professionalism for all in studio clients.

increase and maintain mobility + strength in your arches, ankles, and legs. this will only help increase your posing capabilities for more variety and capability on each shoot.

pro tip: set some time aside before the shoot to warm up your feet + leg muscles for speedy posing!

read through each assignment carefully + thoroughly. knowing as much as you can will reduce the amount the photographer or client have to repeat or relay info.

how do I get assignments?

a few things are taken into consideration before assigning models to bookings:

if you have not received an assignment, it can just be a matter of time since assignments are given based on client demand.

what am I supposed to wear or bring to shoots?

for foot models, the most important things to bring are

however, foot models should arrive in all appearance standards to every shoot. foot models in most cases will only feature mid-thigh + down, but there is always the possibility the client will want to upgrade to a full body model while on the shoot! 

additionally, if the client is in studio, arriving in full standard wardrobe shows a level of professionalism.

the only time you will not arrive to a shoot with clean bare nails, is if a custom manicure is requested. 

what if my legs look different from my test shoot?

people change! and we want you, to do you. 

if you got a new tattoo, are in your "summer" / "winter color," or anything else that affects your foot or leg appearance, submit new photos via the model photo updates page.

how do I increase assignment frequency?

beyond that it's a bit of a waiting game until you are selected by a client!

what if I'm not comfortable with an assignment?

we only wish to ask services of you that you are comfortable + confident accomplishing.

after reviewing the assignment materials (shot list, booking details, pro service profile), if you feel unable or uncomfortable to either obtain or provide the services required, please decline the shoot.

if you have any questions about an assignment, reach out to us via email or text before accepting the shoot. we will be happy to answer any questions, comments, and concerns in order to make sure you feel confident accepting the assignment!

you are welcome to decline any service requests not disclosed to you before the shoot. we practice continuous consent in our studios, so please keep an open dialogue with our crew. let us know as soon as possible if you ever feel uncomfortable.

how do I communicate allergies and special skills?

there is space to share allergies and other notes to soona in your pro service profile.
navigate to this tab on book.soona.co and click "edit" in the top section to update this information any time.

when sending assignments, our team will look at these notes. however, it is ultimately your responsibility to assess each assignment and ensure your ability to service the shoot needs before accepting or declining.

if we share new info that prevents you from being able to participate after you've accepted, text or email us as soon as possible. if you are in studio, let an in-studio crew member know ASAP.
