ARRIVE EARLY
the first model should be done by shoot start time. we recommend arriving 45 minutes before the shoot will begin.
this gives 15 min to find your photographer + set up your station. we expect styling to begin 30 minutes before start time.

BRING YOUR OWN
TOOLS + SUPPLIES
TOOLS + SUPPLIES
bring whatever tools and supplies you need to execute the client's requests.
we do not have a comprehensive supply of items in studio for hair and makeup styling.
there are a select few items in studio to help trouble shoot basic needs if necessary.
(brushes, hair clips, makeup remover, etc.)
STAY ON PACE
we expect each look to take 30 minutes.
please keep your designs and styles high quality, but accomplishable within that 30 minute time frame.
if the client's requests will take longer than 30 minutes, text us or consult with the in-studio crew for solutions.
USE STANDARD SANITARY PRACTICES

neglecting sanitary practices are terms for immediate dismissal from the collective.

FAQs
how do I get assignments?
clients book a shoot with the styling service.
clients provide details about what they are looking to achieve (shoot goals, shot list, moodboard, etc.)
soona assesses what specialties and strengths the client's industry + requests require.
soona finds a stylist with the determined required skill set who has availability that lines up with our studio, photographer, and (sometimes) other provider's schedule.
if you have not received an assignment, it can just be a matter of time since assignments are given based on client demand.
read more info on assignments here.
how will I know who I'm styling?
once you accept a booking, you will be able to see all individuals assigned to the booking in the booking's pro service tab - including models! refer to the booking's pro service tab to understand who you may be working with.
if you need more information about a model before the shoot, send us a text message and we will do our best to gather and provide that information for you.
where do clients share reference images?
in each assignment, a reference image of hair + makeup will be visible within the pro service tab. please review those inspo images to prep for the shoot.
clients may also provide reference images in the shotlist. you can view the shotlist under the shotlist tab in each booking.
read about assignments for more info on these tabs.
please come prepared with ideas based on the client's given information. if you'd like to consult with the crew on your ideas, you may do so in studio before the shoot.
