PRESS ON MANICURE INSTRUCTIONS
assignment notes will indicate if press ons are required on the shoot. there will also be a reminder to arrive 30 min early.
prepare your hands + cuticles as normal to adhere to appearances standards.
once at the studio, find your photographer and ask for the required press on color set + application instruction flyer.
apply the nails using the flyer's instructions and/or the video below.
APPLICATION TIPS:
if your nails are longer than the fake nail, cut + file your nails to be shorter than the fake nail.
make sure the plastic tab is at the base of the nail (aka -at the cuticle) when fitting and applying.
slide + push the base of the nail slightly under your cuticle. this will prevent any gaps, making it look as natural as possible.
firmly press and hold the entire surface of the fake nail for 30 seconds upon initial application. repeat as necessary.
keep your nails + fingers dry as much as possible to ensure they stick the entire shoot.
there are extra adhesive stickers to use if the nail's adhesive wears off. ask your photographer if you need the extra adhesive.
SIZING PRESS ONS
you are responsible for the quality of the fit + application.
while picking the press on nail size for each finger, keep the following notes in mind.

CUSTOM MANICURE INSTRUCTIONS
assignment notes will indicate if custom manicure is required on the shoot.
schedule an appointment at any salon within 24 hours before the shoot.
if possible, go to the salon the same day of the shoot for the freshest look.show the nail artist the client's reference images + ask them to replicate as closely as possible.
find reference images in either the booking's pro service tab or via text from schedulers.ensure quality service + take a photo of your receipt!
we will need the photo submitted on your invoice in order to approve reimbursement. please note we can only reimburse for gratuity tips up to 20% of the service charge.arrive to your shoot at normal arrival times.
QUALITY CHECK
you are responsible for the quality + maintenance of the custom manicure.
be direct, kind, and as clear as possible with the nail tech. keep your standards high and don't be afraid to ask for changes if they are needed.
it's easier to make corrections at the salon than it is on the shoot.

FAQ
how many invoices should I submit?
please only submit ONE invoice per pay period, per person for completed + unpaid assignments. you can create an invoice at the start of a pay period and edit to add new line items before the submission deadlines.
one of the only exceptions to this rule is for custom manicure reimbursement. if you require reimbursement, create ONE separate reimbursement invoice and include all reimbursements owed as line items. please attach a photo of the receipt for each reimbursement line item.
(e.g. 2 custom manicures requires 2 receipts.)
can I do the custom manicure myself at home?
no. custom manicures require a professional salon manicure. customers are paying extra for this service to be done professionally at a salon; so sit back, relax, and enjoy your manicure treatment!
not going to a salon for custom manicure services can result in suspension from the collective.
can I get reimbursed for manicures, even if it's not requested?
no. we are only able to reimburse for manicures if a client has paid for a custom manicure. any personal manicures will not be able to be reimbursed.
can I arrive with my own manicure?
our appearance standards are clean bare nails on every full body or hand model shoot, unless soona or client has requested otherwise.
arriving with a personal manicure (polish, gel, acrylic, etc.) while full body modeling or hand modeling is considered arriving outside of standards.
if you have a personal manicure, please do not accept assignments unless you are certain you can remove this manicure before the shoot. if this will be longer than 1 week's time, please turn off your services until you can have clean bare nails again.
