EXTRA EXPOSURE MODELING
“Extra Exposure” can be considered exposure of areas that are sensitive to display in most communal settings, or areas of the body that are not widely expected to be shown in working environments.
You can opt in or out of underwear modeling in your pro service profile under the "full body modeling" service.
what qualifies as "extra exposure modeling"?
modeling these areas of the body without clothing or with sheer clothing:
majority of the midriff or torso
parts of the upper leg (inner thigh, buttocks, hip)
any part of the breast or chest
majority of the back (bare back)
products that may require extra exposure modeling:
swimsuits
lingerie / underwear
sports attire (e.g. sports bra + shorts)
maternity undergarments
soona does not perform any nude shoots. these are not permitted and any questions or requests of this nature from any persons will be rejected.

STEP 1:
CHECK YOUR ASSIGNMENT
CHECK YOUR ASSIGNMENT
assignment notes will indicate if the shoot requires extra exposure + what type of exposure is required
although always important, it is imperative the shot list and shoot details are read thoroughly at each of these moments: before accepting the assignment, the day before, and day of the shoot
in the assignment notes and shot list, the client may make additional grooming requests such as shaved legs, etc.
STEP 2:
ASK FOR CLARIFICATION
ASK FOR CLARIFICATION
if (after thoroughly reading the assignment) you have any lingering questions about the goals, please reach out to our team via collective@soona.co or 844-577-6662
STEP 3:
EXPRESS BOUNDARIES
EXPRESS BOUNDARIES
we practice continuous consent at soona and encourage you to set your boundaries. please take the time to understand your boundaries and be open in communicating them with our crew.
we will work with the client to ensure their shoot goals are met within all your expressed boundaries. we want you to feel safe and have fun on these shoots!
consent is key 🔑
consent is not just about saying "yes" or "no"; it's about having control over your comfort, boundaries, and overall well-being.
in the modeling realm, consent ensures that you are a willing and active participant, allowing you to express your limits, preferences, and feel respected throughout the creative process.
always remember: you have the right to set the terms that make you feel safe, valued, and ready to shine.
SET BOUNDARIES RIGHT AWAY
give yourself time to fully think and reflect on the asks presented to you, so you can feel confident about the boundaries you wish to set.
before any aspect of the shoot begins, openly + clearly discuss your comfort levels, boundaries, and specific concerns with your crew.
EXPRESSING CONSENT
when expressing consent, use affirmative language to express what you're comfortable with, making sure everyone is on the same page.
whether it's agreeing to specific poses or wardrobe choices, your clear communication helps create a collaborative and respectful environment on set.
remember, your voice matters and is vital for an empowering modeling experience.
REVOKING CONSENT
if at any point during the shoot you begin to feel uncomfortable or uneasy, trust your instincts.
your well-being is of utmost importance, and it's okay to take away consent if something doesn't feel right.
communicate your feelings calmly and assertively.
other tips
SKIN CARE
well maintained skin is essential for the success of all modeling assignments. this includes ensuring that any skin that is exposed during an extra exposure shoot is well exfoliated and moisturized.
please double check for any notes about shaving. if you need clarification on this topic, email or text us ASAP!

ADDITIONAL LAYERS
we recommend bringing an additional easy to throw on layer to keep you comfortable between scene changes.
robes, sweatpants, and zip up hoodies are great examples of layers that are easy to take on and off while on set.
the studio may have robes available to borrow, but we recommend also bringing any additional items you may want access to.
remember your comfort and safety is our top priority.
always feel empowered to express your boundaries and needs while on set.
